In its Autumn Collection 2021, Pappelina is presenting with the models OLLE and KIM two new mats with stylish striped patterning. OLLE features a simple, structured design with elements composed of many different colours. The design harks back to a trend from the 1980s – the designer, Lina, drawing inspiration here from her own childhood.

In the case of KIM, the challenge lay in weaving broad stripes, the rug taking its name from one of the two master weavers involved. Due to the width of the various sections, this is technically a very difficult design to realize; it also exhibits a different style aesthetic from Pappelina’s usual designs in that there is no repeating pattern.
