In the Onyx Black Collection, Victorinox is presenting a new series of monochrome black pocket knives, by which we mean that not only the scale but also the blade, corkscrew etc. are black. Thanks to the use of rustproof stainless steel and a special polispectral electro-chemical colour process, the tools are extremely durable. To ensure they retain their colour, a multi-layered chromium dioxide film is applied that coats the stainless steel and preserves its properties. The new collection comprises three models – the Signature Lite, the Spartan and the Ranger Grip 55 – that differ in the scope of their function sets. The smallest of the new pocket knives, the Signature Lite Onyx Black is the same handy size as the popular Classic series and offers eight practical functions including a LED and a ballpoint pen. The medium-sized Spartan Onyx Black adds four functions and contains among other things a large and a small blade, a corkscrew and a bottle opener. The largest knife in the collection is the Ranger Grip 55 Onyx Black with its 14 functions including a wood saw and a lockable blade.
