Feel-good design

The Brazilian artist, painter, serigrapher and sculptor Romero Britto is currently one of the world’s leading exponents of neo-pop art. He combines elements of cubism, pop art and graffiti to produce works characterized by fields of bright colour separated by bold black lines. Britto, who lives in Miami, burst onto the scene in 1989 with an advertising campaign for a brand of vodka. Countless exhibitions and commissions worldwide followed.

The artist has already in recent years created a number of pieces for the porcelain brand Goebel – including such Expressive figurines as “Pet’s Love”, “Ocean Love” or the popular “Big Apple” figurine, with its bold black and white enlivened with a splash of red and real gold decoration – the colourful designs of which convey a carefree lightness. A vase rejoicing to the name “All We Need is Love” and three colourful bunnies, whose mandate extends way beyond Easter, round off the 2021 collection.
