The doors open at the end of July and, under summer skies, Nordstil will present the lifestyle trends for the coming autumn and winter. Now, with four months still to go, the halls at Hamburg Exhibition Centre are already extremely well booked: “At present, 85 percent of the exhibition space is occupied and it is good to see that exhibitor interest in Nordstil remains at a high level”, says Philipp Ferger, Group Show Director, Tendence and Nordstil.
At the order fair, exhibitors from Germany, the Netherlands and Scandinavia present the latest products for the home, kitchen, garden, giving, beauty, wellness, jewellery and fashion accessories. “Today, virtually no other style is as popular as the Nordic style. And this accounts to a considerable extent for the fascination of Nordstil because, at the fair, buyers can be sure of finding a special blend of products and styles. From my point of view, this special focus is one of the reasons why Nordstil has developed to a must in buyers’ trade-fair diaries”, adds Philipp Ferger.
Exhibitors such as Alfred Sternjakob with the Scout brand, Avancarte, Hoptimist, Käthe Kruse, Ib Laursen, Krasilnikoff, Mark’s Europe, Mossapour Interior Designs and Riverdale are set to present innovations for the world of furnishing, decoration, design and giving in the ‘A’ halls of Hamburg Exhibition Centre. Additionally, the ‘Roots of Sweden’ area brings together Swedish companies, curated and chosen by Swedish design expert Stefan Nielson.
In the ‘B’ halls, the focus is on the garden, kitchen, jewellery and fashion, as well as beauty and wellness. Among the companies presenting their latest product ideas here will be Accentra Kosmetik-Accessoires, Becker-Manicure, Chr. Bollweg, Trendwerkk, Gourmet Berner, Feuer & Glas, Le Creuset and Vosteen.
Trends and events
Trying out products in creative workshops, seeing and hearing what is likely to be important at the point of sale tomorrow – Nordstil visitors can look forward to numerous trend presentations, lectures and events.
One of the highlights is the ‘Northern Lights’, which has developed into a constituent part of the fair. In this special area, young designers, start-ups and small manufacturers show imaginative new product ideas. Unadulterated inspiration is offered alongside them by lecturers at the Nordstil Forum. Equally worthwhile is a visit to the adjoining Trend Presentation with its examples of ways in which new products can be displayed effectively in the shop.
Buyers have the opportunity to display their creative talents in the ‘Nordstil kreativ’ area. There, they can try out new hobby and creative materials before placing orders on the spot. Buyers of fashions and fashion accessories are particularly well catered for at the ‘Special Freight’ area where, around an overseas container, models show the latest fashion collections by Nordstil exhibitors.
Nordstil visitors should also set aside some time for the Village, where ten innovative companies make a joint presentation, and for the ‘Bottle Heroes’ with their selected wines and spirits.
The blogger scene has also discovered Nordstil: lifestyle bloggers are represented at the fair by the ‘BlogUps – Blog up your Business’ stand where they present their favourite trend products and conduct intensive networking with visitors.
