Christmasworld is using the new Hall 12.0 for the first time this year. What changes can we expect?
Everything will be new in 2019. More than 1,060 exhibitors will be moving into a new location with a larger floor space overall, and the product groups will be mixed differently. By improving the signposting, we aim to make ordering easier for the various purchasing groups and encourage new business contacts at the same time.
Will there be new things on offer for exhibitors and visitors at the Christmasworld?
Yes, absolutely – all sorts of things: we’ll be bringing our special shows into the centre of the halls, and thus nearer to the exhibitors’ product ranges. The Christmasworld Trends 2019/20 in Hall 11.0 will be showcasing the coming season’s colours and materials, which no shop should be without. The “Kinemona Vintage” special show in Hall 12.0 will demonstrate how storytelling at the point of sale can tempt customers to buy. On the new “Retail Boulevard” in Galleria 0, five pop-up stores will give specific recommendations for designing an innovative point of sale with fresh and seasonal decorations. The “Christmas Delights” area in Hall 8.0 will complement product ranges with drinks, biscuits, sweets and teas. These impulse purchase items will provide additional sales potential.
What trends are you anticipating for 2019?
I expect that the shopping experience at the point of sale will become more and more important in this digital age. Exciting product mixes and eye-catching store designs will attract customers into bricks-and-mortar shops and town centres. New products from the exhibitors and our special shows will provide maximum inspiration and fresh stimulus.
