Last chance: Nordstil 2017 almost fully booked up

Gifts & Stationery expand the scope of the order fair and include Hall A2.

Sea air, sand dunes, strong tea and a clear language of design – but for what else does the north of Germany stand? For buyers there is no doubt: the north stands for one of Germany’s most successful consumer-goods fairs – Nordstil. At the next edition of the regional order fair from 14 to 16 January 2017, retailers will meet exhibitors from Germany, the Netherlands and Scandinavia in the exhibition halls of Hamburg Fair and Congress Centre. “90 percent of exhibition space has already been booked to date, and this shows us the high degree of importance that Nordstil has acquired for the exhibiting companies over the last four years. For the retail trade in the north of Germany and neighbouring companies, the fair has developed into the order venue for the coming spring and summer season. This is where the northern trade makes its purchases”, says Philipp Ferger, Group Show Director Nordstil.

For the first time, the ‘Gifts & Stationery’ segment will occupy not only Hall A3 but also A2 at the winter edition of Nordstil with renowned brands, such as Brunnen (Baier & Schneider), Coppenrath Verlag, Depesche, Nici, Pelikan and Sigikid, being spread across both halls.
In the ‘Style & Design’ product segment in Hall A4, companies such as Hoptimist, Mossapour, Good old friends and Agentur Anna Upleger present their new collections revolving around the subjects of trends and lifestyle.
A new product segment is being introduced at Winter-Nordstil: ‘Home & Garden’. Covering four exhibition halls (A1, B3, B4 und B5), the new segment presents furniture, home accessories and textiles, lighting and decorations, as well as products for florists, gardens, balconies and barbequing. “Fairs, such as Nordstil, are dynamic formats, which we adapt continuously to the market and its needs. Thus, for the coming event, we have revised the product-group structure, an improvement that will aid visitor orientation at the fair”, says Ferger. The companies making presentations in this product segment include names such as Amsinck & Sell, Andrea Design, Exotica Cor Mulder, Frank Wilhahn, Gilde Handwerk Macrander, Greengate, Horst Platow, Posiwio, and Pusteblume. One of the companies taking part for the first time is Riverdale from the Netherlands.
In Halls B1.0 and B1.1, everything focuses on the theme of ‘Kitchen & Gourmet’ and the exhibitors showing their latest product lines include Feuer & Glas, Deligreece, Le Creuset, Müller Handelsagentur, Porzellanfabriken Christian Seltmann and Victorinox.
Wellness and beauty articles are shown by exhibitors such as Accentra, Barracuda Stylecompany, BO Cosmetic, Gika Böge, Konert and Top Team in the ‘Relaxation & Well-Being’ product segment in Hall B2 while the latest ‘Jewellery & Fashion’ trends for the coming season are presented, inter alia, by A&O Hultquist, BMS, Dazzl Design, Lizas, Sabine Hofius and Umjubelt in Halls B2 and B7.

Nordstil programme of events
No matter what their interest, visitors can look forward to an extensive programme of events at Nordstil covering everything from trying out things in workshops to discovering tomorrow’s trends and hearing what is really important at the point of sale.
Also part of the programme of events is the presentation by young designers and small manufacturers – the ‘Northern Lights’ – and the ‘Nordstil Forum’ lecture area. Buyers have the opportunity to give their creative learnings free rein in the ‘Nordstil Creative’ area where they can try out the latest creative and hobby products to their hearts’ desire and place their orders there and then. Visitors interested in fashion and accessories should go straight to the ‘Special Freight’ area where young designers present their fashion and accessory collections around an overseas container.
Buyers should also plan a visit to the ‘Village’ at Nordstil. This joint presentation by innovative companies takes place in a cosy café atmosphere – an open invitation for visitors to linger over coffee and cake, and to relax and view the new collections. The ‘Bottle Heroes’ will also be back at Nordstil next January and present selected wines and spirits. Visitors are warmly invited to taste the products for themselves!

Nordstil – Hamburg Regional Order Days
Nordstil (14 to 16 January and 22 to 24 July 2017) is the regional order platform for the north of Germany and neighbouring countries. It is characterised by an extensive product spectrum split into six distinct product segments: House & Garden, Style & Design, Gifts & Stationery, Kitchen & Gourmet, Relaxation & Well-Being and Jewellery & Fashion. For the retail trade between the Weser, Elbe, Harz and Øresund, Nordstil is the regional order venue for the spring / summer and autumn / winter / Christmas seasons.
