The Talents at Ambiente present strikingly subtle alternatives to global mass consumption. Ambiente welcomes a total of 36 up-and-coming designers from 18 countries to its successful development programme.
As part of the new exhibition structure, the Talents for the Living area is in Hall 8. The Talents for the Dining area remains as before in Hall 4.0. The 2019 Ambiente Talents are searching for and finding answers to the challenges of future-oriented product designs of lasting value.
In the Talents area in the Interior Design hall (8.0/G10), 24 participants are presenting their studies, unique handmade articles and small series, as well as production-ready designs. They cover the entire panoply from furniture and home accessories to jewellery. From India, this year’s Ambiente partner country, Roshad Shroff is one of the designers in the Talents area, and the two winners of the ILA Interior Lifestyle Awards, Pravinshi Solanki and Solid Bench, are in the adjoining area.
In the Talents area in Hall 4.0/F71, 12 designers from the dining segment document the constant changes in table culture and provide answers to the changing eating habits of our time.
The Talents programme is a curated platform where young avant-garde designers can network with the international design and manufacturing scene. In contrast to many other offerings, the Talents here get an exhibition booth free of charge and also receive active support in preparing for what is often their first international stage.
